I don’t think you look like a sponger - and I know JJs post wasn’t meant like that.

I have been neglecting this thread and hadn’t responded.

We don’t close this thread until November time. We often get several people posting early on and then disappear before the call in date. Please don’t be put off - you should only need to spare a couple of Toms to save enough.

    I'm in pre-ripening.
Ildi lots to save, my review will be on another thread.
Ananas, apparently very few seeds per tomato and I have eight so don't know the final count. Only 10 seeds in a packet for £2.99,or 50p in sale. Supposedly yellow, mine turning red.
    I'll keep you posted.

The only tomato I'm growing that's any different to the last few years is Polish Linguisa, got lots just ripening now I can save seeds from that if you'd like?

Yes that’s good Thelma, though don’t be worried about supplying something that we have seen before - we can’t always grow something new and some new members in the circle may not have tried them.

Scarlett, is the tomato seed “bank” rather than swap still going? I’ve got seeds from about 150 varieties and not the space to keep refreshing them so I’m concerned they’ll get too old and not spread to those who might like to grow them.

    150, that's impressive or obsessive . I thought my 26 was a lot.
I'm trying to find as many old UK varieties to grow, particularly those that have gone out of favour and not in catalogues any more. Four I found this year are Essex Wonder, Cavendish, Yellow Perfection and Tangella. I'd love Histons Early and Victory.
I'm still getting results from 2009 seeds so I think some viable for many years.
