Freezing kills the weevil/eggs. Planting them means you will have weevil in your garden this year. There is some belief the holey ones will still grow (it is too wet to check this theory but I sowed my holey ones from somewhere else).

Now yours have been soaked I think it is a case of go with it but at the end of the season you may want to freeze anything saved.

I have grown holey ones! But they weren't completely peppered.
I would freeze before planting. Not sure after soaking it would be a good idea though?

I did think of growing the holey ones but was so upset I just binned them. Maybe u can retrieve them.

Ok I will try freezing them this year. Do you have to sow them immediately after freezing? Sorry maybe dumb question but I never had seed bugs before.

When you take them out of freezer (a few days should be sufficient a week will do the job) let them defrost (don't open the pack or anything) and once happy they are dry and fine store as normal

Thanks for the warning, Kitty. I've checked mine and they look OK. No sign of holes or crawly things! I'll bung them in the freezer to be sure.

Please may I join if it’s not too late for next season? I’m growing DFB Nautica, CFB Cosse Violette, Runner Bean Scarlet Emperor and if dry before winter, late Broadie Luz de Otono.
