    The beans have arrived - they're all too pretty to sow. I just want to play with them. The Soldier beans are amazing - salute!!!
    Thank everyone esspecially NG for being so generous with her seeds for no returns and, of course, Scarlet for giving her time to run this.

    I love them they originally came from Moreveg a few years ago - I've grown them every year since...bush beans are great for filling in those little holes that crop up. Sparrow also had some that came under the name of Nuns belly button.

    I'm just butting in here because idly reading this thread for the first time, and clicking on the links, this one of VC's says the striped bunch come from John Yeoman. I have his book, The Lazy Kitchen Gardener. I got it second hand for 50p and it's full of all sorts of tips and time and money savers.
