I'll join up. Again, not sure on everything that I'll be saving, but chillis will definitely be one.

Hello *waves*
Can I join too please? Like other peeps, am not quite sure what I will be saving. Chillies for sure, but you probably have enough of them. I'm trying for some squashes this year (bags and paintbrush at the ready!), mangetout peas and the giant cape gooseberry. But this depends a bit on how they grow/how tasty my slug population find them...

This is a noddy question, but is there an outline anywhere of roughly the quantities of seed we (I) need to collect to send in - ie enough for each person participating? And does the quantity change depending on what you grow? For example allowing 10 chilli seeds, but 20-30 bean seeds per person in the circle.
I've not done this before - sorry if it's obvious.Last edited by sparrow100; 19-02-2014 at 11:02 PM. Reason: typo

In previous years circles there's usually been a guide of roughly how many seeds to pack up. This does change with how good or bad the weather has been! 30 seeds per person would be a lot to save - I usually pack 6-10 seeds for toms, 12 for peas or beans, maybe only 5 or 6 for chillies because you won't get many fruit. Cape gooseberry a dozen, when I save parsnips or chard the seed is plentiful so I use a teaspoon!
