The reason that we have the rules in place is that people come onto the Vine, immediately ask for seeds, never send their swaps back, take the seeds sent and disappear without a trace. The Mods often have to ban people who seed beg, and the rule was put together by the users of the Vine - so most members would rather everyone stuck to the rules so that everyone is treated equally.

However if someone has agreed to send seeds then that's their prerogative. You have no idea how many people the Vine gets who just see 'seed swap' on a google search and just join up for freebies. For the long standing users, who give seeds freely - it can be terribly annoying.

    Now I am confused.

I understand the rules and am happy with them and all that and fully understand that there are lots of opportunistic people in the world, And if the user who is sending me seed's wanted some in return, I would have been more than happy to send my seed's first for them to receive them before they sent theirs. Which I think is a great rule for new user's to stop them running off with swap's and not returning any.

I was asking why Newton put "Is it?" because it looked like it was related to me putting "Thanks All and what a lovely forum this is." making me think that Newton does not think so.

I suspect he means is it the same person that was on here last week, just being more polite. I could be wrong though, I often am.
