  • 'Morning coffee' cake

Here's another recipe for Seahorse - this one was good too! Its got no coffee in and I think was probably an american recipe, made to be eaten at morning coffee? Anyway I still can't be bothered to type the recipe, so get scribbling!

We didn't have any almond essence so used vanilla essence. We used our own home-made raspberry jam and only half the amount of walnuts as that was all we had - it was plenty. It came out sort of like a 'bakewell', but the jam hadn't stayed quite in a layer, however it tasted very yummy served warm with a large dollop of yoghurt!

    That's not all that's left - honestly!

    Bet it is

Interesting recipe! Mixing yogurt and jam in isn't something I'd have thought of but the result looks nice!
I was feeling part of the scenery
I walked right out of the machinery
My heart going boom boom boom
"Hey" he said "Grab your things
I've come to take you home."

The yoghurt and jam don't really mix! The jam is a layer in the middle of the cake mix, ours seems to have 'sunk' into the middle of the cake slightly.
