  • Left over pulp from fruitbeena recipe

My OH has just made a delicious fruitbeena from the river cottage preserve book out of blackcurrants and nectarines.

We have left a jelly bag of pulpy seeds, the remainder of 2kg og blackberries and nectarines boiled and mashed in water. Can we use this in a recipe do you think? We are currently giving it to pet mouse edna! OH is scepticle about being able to use it, but thought you might have some ideas!

    Many thanks x

LOL - I bottled my 'Hooch' yesterday; One demi-john each of Damson Vodka and Blackberry Brandy. I've just been discussing with my Mum, what to do with the resulting alcoholic fruit.

There is a thread on here somewhere about it - I've read it in the past, but forgotten the suggestions. So, I'm going to bag it and put it in the freezer until I have time to find the thread on here, hopefully this evening.

I know with left over alcohic fruit you can use it. For example sloe berries after a soak in gin can apparantly be dipped in dark choc? I know I asked this last year but wasnt brave enough to try it!
But its the plain fruit pulp from a jelly back I could do with a use for, especially since we have a bag of apple and blackberry driping in the kitchen! The previous pulp went to my neighbours chooks!

Would i just chuck the pulp in with voddy BM? OR would i need to add sugar do you think? The pulp is just berries and apples nothing else added. Like the idea, mmmm
