  • Kohl rabi recipes please.

I was given kohl rabi to try several years ago and really wasn't impressed, but I can't remember how I cooked it. Having got some free seeds I thought it was time to try again before I banish it forever. All I need now is some good ideas on how to cook it...........please?

Thinly sliced and baked in a mustardy cheese sauce.
Thinly sliced or grated and added to coleslaw.
Thinly sliced and added raw to salad.
I really didn't like it in chunks

I like it best raw, grated into home made coleslaw.

Don't boil it....it loses both favour and texture.

I eat it raw too, salad or coleslaw as above. I think it's delicious!

It's not too bad roasted, but best julienned into coleslaw I think.
Our England is a garden, and such gardens are not made
By singing-'Oh how beautiful!" and sitting in the shade,
While better men than we go out and start their working lives
At grubbing weeds from gravel paths with broken dinner-knives. ~ Rudyard Kipling
