  • Celery & peanut butter

Anyone else tried this tasty snack?

I'm sure LadyWayne picked it up years ago at WeightWatchers. We used to have it quite frequently but haven't in ages. I fancied some this morning so made it to bring to work with me.

Simply wash and trim the celery into handleable sized lengths. Take your peanut butter (organic, smooth, crunchy - whatever fancies your tickle) and spread it into the "groove" of the celery. Fill the entire length with the peanut butter and enjoy.

    I love it!

Oh, when packing it or wrapping it make sure that if you have more than one piece ensure that the peanut butter sides faces each other. Otherwise when you peel off the wrapping you're likely to pull out the peanut butter too (if that makes sense?)

Sounds nice. On a very similar note, on Sunday I re-discovered my love of peanut butter with bean sprouts on a sandwich. It's really nice and not so crazy - you have peanut butter in satay sauce/stir fries etc after all?

It's got to be dirty ol' Skippy Smooth for me though.

I can't begin to imagine that that was a weightwatchers idea. Peanut butter is incredibly high in points!!

However, it sounds really yummy. May have to try it later .

That's why I never spread it on a cello.

Love it! (Peanut butter & celery AND Rhona's wise-crack)

On the subject peanut butter, I love the American-style PB&J (peanut butter & jam) sandwhich. It's a great, filling, taste snack.

Sounds yuk, raw celery is horrible and peanut butter just reminds me of cow pats (don't think that make SunPat helps with that!)

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

My first thought that I have heard of smooth or crunchy but never stringy peanut butter

I'm hoping you're referring to the look of them Alison. I can't imagine even you would be willing to actually taste a cow pat!?
