  • carrot tops?

i'm sure i read somewhere that you can eat the leaves (if thats what you call them) off of the carrots, but i now can't find where i read it!
so i wanted to ask, does anyone on here eat the carrot tops?
do they need cooking? stir-fry? steam?
or do you have them raw, in a salad?
they look so full of goodness - it seems a shame to throw them away!

i look forward to hearing any ideas you may have
    thanks

I think you probably can as you can "sprout" carrot seed and eat the greens. I suppose it is up to you how you use them. I'd be inclined to put them in a salad. I must admit though our's generally go to her ladyship and the squeaky boys who all eat them so fast they don't touch the sides.
