  • Anyone making Halloween party food???

..any fun ideas you want to share???

... nice simple ones my kids loved was cowpat pizza ( spinach layer over a normal pizza)
and vomit pizza ( tin of mixed veg scattered over a normal pizza)
dead mens fingers- tin of frankfurters and ketchup
chocolate mousse ( ...well you can work that out for yourself!!!)
    - eat by candlelight!

Very quick, but entering into the spirit of things!!

I'll be collecting a few fallen leaves , washing them and drying them today to put on the table tomorow.
We usually have spag bol ( intestines with mashed brains) sprinkled with cheesy toescrapings ( parmesan cheese)

Made witches fingers last year - simple biscuit mixture dyed green and rolled into sausage shapes, with a slightly flatter middle (the knuckle) which you mark with a knife in lines. Then I used dried cranberrys as nails...they were very popular.

I brought back a book of Halloween ideas (by Pillsbury) from the States. Some simple ideas from it include cutting cat shapes in cheese slices and putting one slice with cat 'hole' on a bowl of soup and another bowl gets the cat that was cut out (hope that makes sense). Barbecued worm sandwiches - rolls filled with hotdog sausage strips (cut the frankfurter lengthwise into 6) cooked in barbecue sauce and a cheese slice if liked. Hot dog mummies - hot dog sossies wrapped in Pillsbury ready to bake cheese stick dough (I make cheese pastry and cut it into fine strips) to make the bandages. Wrap the sausage in bandages leaving a gap for the 'face', bake in the oven till pastry is golden then add 'eyes' with mustard dots.
