  • Young Foxes are about

Just a heads up if you have been a bit lax of late.
Just frightened off 2 young (very healthy teenage) foxes from my garden--they were eyeing up their dinner.
I was just about to let the cluckies out of their fully meshed run for their evening stroll whilst I had a nose around the garden
The garden is surrounded by solid 6 foot fences + 6 " gravel boards underneath---this posed no problem to get in and out.
    Be aware!

Feed the soil, not the plants.
    (helps if you have cluckies)

I was shocked to find a fox in our garden as we also have 6 foot fences but have read they can leapt them from a standstill! Couldn't believe it! Watch those chooks.

We have 6 foot fences, prikka strips on the fence tops, and the damn things scramble over them as if they were nothing.

I hate the things, we can't let our chooks out because of them. we have their run protected by an electric fence. We have loads of foxes near us. The fence failed unbeknown to us and the rotten things got in and got 2 of our girls.

At one point we saw 10 of them sitting at the entrance to the forest. And they are totally fearless.

We had both parents, and the 2 young ones in our garden at all hours of the day. We were for ever chasing them out.

I was thinking of doing the training, becoming a registered pest controller and getting a gun.
