  • Warrens have landed

    Hi my warrens have arrived and are settling in nicely, im amazed how much time we spend watching them, even the wife!!!! who is scared of feathers
    One issue is getting them in the coop at night, i have physically put them in which is a laugh and a half, any tips how to get them in easier??? the coop has a slight ramp, ill try to get some piccies posted

    You should keep them shut in for a couple of days when you first get them. This way they learn where they sleep. It's not to late to do this though so don't let them out tomorrow or the next day and put a little food and water inside the house. You will find they will then return to the house at bedtime quite naturally after that.

        I find that they put themselves to bed as it is getting dark, so only have to go up there and lock them in.

          Finally managed to get them in the coop with a bit of help, next step getting them to perch !!! they are sleeping in the nest box im trying to manually place them on the perch when its dark!!!hopefully they will learn quick ahahaha
