    when i went to feed the girls this morning the inside of the reed bin lid was covered in slugs,yuk yuk yuk
    how on earth do they get in?it is a sealed bin.

    o well was treat for the chooks.

    does that count as full english for them

    I use plastic bins with lids to store my animal feed, keeps out slugs and meeces!

      thats what i have got it from place where i get my chook food,there were about twenty of the horrible things

        My chicken feed is in the shed in plastic dustbins (1 layers pellets, 1 mixed corn + 3 bins with wild bird, sunflower seeds and peanuts). Don't normally have slug or mouse problems. ! poor mouse got in the pellets bin once (probably whilst the lid was off) unfortunately the pellet killed it (came right out through the tummy wall).

        Chickens are great slug deterrents, they kill and eat mice too given the chance!

          i had the good fortune to be left two wheelie bins by the previous owner,they make great feed bins,one for pellets,one for corn,appear to be rodent proof,and weather proof...so far
