  • need chicken house and run, anyone know suppliers on internet?

    hi,

am trying to purchase chicken house and run, does anyone know of any suppliers on internet that sell them. I have looked at a few but most are so expensive. the eglu's are expensive but also very small i think.

    any ideas? thanx

    Hi Angel,

I know of a HUGE supplier on ebay, but be warned they are expensive too! Not quite as expensive as the eglu's, but you're still talking around £140-£350. You can find him by doing a search on ebay for chicken houses...trust me, his stuff will appear. His user name is albanypets I believe.

I know this isn't much help, but hopefully it's a start!

    Good luck!

      Hi Angelat,

I purchased my hen house on ebay from the company called Albany pets. Luckily It was a bid for item which I managed to get for about £66.00 but then there was postage of £30.00 on top. It did work out quite a lot cheaper than their buy it now prices.

Where is the economy range? I can only see their usual range...and the price tags to match them! Ouch!

We have an Omlet Eglu. Many on this forum happy with that brand. But it is not cheap.

Albany is near me in Essex, I have heard 'things' about them...
              Where abouts are you angelat?
If you let us know maybe someone in your area can recommend somewhere, then you can avoid postage?

Try the Chicken House Man (aka Wells Poultry), Simon Wells' houses are first class and the service is brilliant too.

                  Coop and Run

Hi - I have just purchased a coop and run from pads4pets on ebay. The guy is really lovely and helpful and will build what you want him to. He made me an extended version of one of his coops and runs on ebay.

Again - cost me £354 and £55 postage but worth every penny. Not some rubbish !!

I bought my "posh" coop from Albany Pets. With p&p it came to around £98. I was a bit suspicious after I'd agreed to buy as when I looked at the feedback there seemed to be lots of "sales" to the same person. Also, mine was a second chance offer as I'd been outbid by this same person. I'm happy with the coop though, and it did arrive within a couple of days

I bought my run and housing from Wells Poultry, they gave me a delivery of 3 months, despite lots of phone calls and emails, it actually took over 5 months. I've still not received everything.

I would report that to eBay. may be innocent, but sounds more like shill-bidding to me.

P.S. Also bidding in the last few seconds of the auction will help counter that - not if they have placed a shill bid without regard to actually getting a real punter to succeed, but if its just bidding to drive the price up they won't have time after you place your bid at the end of the auction.

Whenever I get a Second Chance I consider it to mean "They are prepared to sell cheaper than I bid" so I consider re-bidding lower, rather than taking the second chance. Or just mailing them and making them an offer ...
