  • More chickens!

Woo!! We are getting a small flock of Welsummers tonight

A couple of cockerels and about 8 girls (plus the 2 Welsummers we already have). We are going to keep them seperate from our other birdies so that we can potentially raise pure-breds etc

Oh you lucky thing!!!!! I'm down to just 1 Welsummer girl now and haven't really got the room for any more - well not if the potential big birds in the incubator hatch
My girls found their way into my heart and now they nest there

      Really exciting project!

I'd love to breed Marans if I had the chance! Maybe one day!

That's great. I have one Welsummer girl and would love another couple. Can't find anyone near here with any. Don't want to go down the hatching route again as got 3 boys last time that I couldn't rehome.

Brilliant birds Welsummers. Gorgeous eggs too. I have nine Welly hens plus one cock at the moment.

Excellent news Shelley! Can't wait to see your photos. How many girls and boys will you have?
Where are you getting them from? Happy Chicks?

Nope, we got them from a guy near Marks' work (near Chorley way)

They are quarantined in the poly tunnel for now, whilst they adjust and I can check them over. Will get some pics later on.... they are so pretty!

P.S. Bernie, Fred thinks he's a dog and follows me round the run all the time for treats and cuddles!!

Pop in and say hello next time you are passing, Chorley is only a few miles away.
