  • indian runner duck limping

our chocolate runner duck(female) 12 weeks old has suddenly gone vey lame, almost to the point of dragging herself around. We tried separating her from the others, put her in the barn but she went crazy, so we moved drakes into buff orpington pen out of the way as they are a nuisance- then popped her back with other females, she is just sat in shade looking sorry for herself. prognosis anyone?

One of my geese has gone lame over about 4 days.
We've all had a check for cuts and lumps and bumps on her foot/leg, and then heat on her bones and joints- and finally decided that she'd probably bruised her thigh muscle clumsily clambering in and out of her paddling pool.
Today is the 5th day of being encouraged to rest, and she actually seemed to be limping slightly less today!
We left her in with her mates and they all stuck by her.
    My gal is 11 weeks.

the boys have been put in with George the buff orpington, to give the girls a respite, they are rather randy and I am certain they hurt this duck. She is even better today, so should be able to sell her soon.
