  • How to chose?

I have got some Choc/split black orpington cockerel x welsummer eggs. Only got six of them but they really are too interesting to eat, I think.
Also some Blue Orp x Cream Legbar eggs (from Hector and the girls) showing signs of fetility. And then I have more of the Blue orp x splash orp eggs which seem to be producing blue orp chicks. Only one inccy free though, so a dozen eggs or so at most. Do I look at another inncy or just chose my favourites and wait a week for the other inncy to be free?
I am looking to put these in the local auctions/poultry ad places as I don't really have room for more but my girls and I do enjoy the chicks and want to get a few growers for the pot too. I suppose for the table the orp cross would be better but I can't help but wonder what the others might look like...
I think I need help. Is there a chicken keepers anonymous group?

    Urrrrrrrrr - this is it!!!!
I'm trying to rationalise my birds but I'm just worried that the more space I get the more difficult the choice will be!
Maybe someone should take a counselling course!

Ha ha ha..the alternative name for rule the roost is chookaholics anonymous, didn't you know?
I'm now being far more serious about what I keep. But just counted up and I've now got 9 different breeds, some with more than one colour, although only a couple of some. And I started out with 3 ex-bats....
I'd go with the orp x orp for sale, and orp x leg for dinner. Then when the other inci is free in a week stick in the welly x
You want sensible advice like dont do it you wouldn't be on here would you

Well, I suppose I should have known really lol
Come on here asking silly questions like that!
It's settled. I'll clear some room and put them all in. I'll take you up on the offer thanks Maureen. If I am sensible (really?) about it I can have them all hatch out at the same time
I finish Uni in the next few weeks so it'll be nice to have some chicks about then. I might even be a better forum member and post piccies.
              Thanks for all the replies.
