  • chickens are dying

    Hi all, I need help!!!
I have re-homed some battery hens last year. This week it have had one die and this morning one is on the point of dying. The 3rd one has a bit of a cold and have been treating all the birds with "Tylan Soluble" from the Vets. Can anyone give me an info on it.

    Thanks
P.s chickens has die now :-(

Ex batts don't last long, but I would be very suspicious of acute infectious disease in your flock with 3 dying in a week. Don't know how many birds you have but I would be inclined to take one in to the vet for post mortem. Presume you are treating for an outbreak of mycoplasma if they are all on Tylan?

      Hi Thanks for your reply.
Yes i have 19 girls and the man about the run. They are free range and yes they are all on Tylan as the vet told me to keep them in the run for 5 days, so they all of them was treated.
