So come on- fess up who went for new girlies. I went to get poultry spice and advice about my poor girlies and had a peek at the hens and ticket holders peering into the pen. So anyone from the vine get any lovely Thornes pure breeds? We will need pics!!!!

We got Gandalf from thornes about a month or so ago. they can get hold of pretty much anything you want. Frank is doing a course on how to despatch, pluck and prepare chicken for oven on 25th oct - anyone going? -

Yes and great advice. Gandalf is very well mannered and healthy. He is a bit randy though and the girls have learnt to run fast!!

Jim tipped me off that Thornes had Sablepoots for sale today but I was unable to make it in the end.
I like the sound of Frank's talks but I have to admit that the despatch and dress talk isn't of paramount interest to me. I may go just to have a nose around if circumstances don't get in the way.If a thing's worth doing, it's worth doing to excess
