What DEFRA approved disinfectant is the easiest to get hold of? I'm wanting something that will clean my plastic eglu, feed and water containers, and concrete paths. The list on DEFRA is too confusing

    Default 2019 - Be prepared!

Don't panic - nothing found yet.

However, you may like to check your location on this High Risk map. Its good to be prepared.

OK thanks VC. Seems like i am in a high risk area. Possibly due to migrating birds flying over? What are the precautions that i need to take? Not allow wild birds have any contact with the hens?

Its OK at the moment but there's advice on precautions to take at https://assets.publishing.service.go...ter-170911.pdf

When there was a serious outbreak a year or 2 ago, chooks had to be separated from wild birds. You'll probably be OK as yours are in a run but the netting needs to be small enough mesh to keep wild birds out. Its as well to think about how you'd do it now, in case we have to do it in winter.
