  • Yowza!

My first Crown Prince squash seedling poked its head up yesterday, so I picked it up to take it out of the heated propagator...and discovered that it had about 3 inches of nicely branching root coming out the bottom!
    March is the new winter.

Attack of the giant warty blue slugs!

Still waiting on Crown Prince No. 2 (the "spare"), and I sowed some Tuffy Sweet and Blue Kuri yesterday so should have more triffids coming along. Woohoo!

They're not a patch on the cucumbers for speed, though - one of mine was up in 24 hours.

and I never felt a thing

I've sown 2 Thelmas and they've not come up, so I sowed 2 more in the heated prop today. What's the betting I end up with 4 of them
