hello my fellow grapes!
Could someone please tell me if the photo below means that my swede are going to seed, Two of my plants are like this and if i pinch them out will it save my plants. they were plants i bought from a local nursery. I have some more growing that i have sown from seed myself, but they are only small yet.
The other pic is of my tumbler tomatoes from plants that I was ceoncerned about back in May that some of you were kind enough to help me with. oNce they ripen we will have some lovely toms.
Everything else looks like its coming along fine, what was meant to be two raised beds has turned into three raised beds, though the third is only half planted, can i plant more swede or is it to late? I think I have things too close together in the other beds, so will need to plan better next year.
My spuds in containers are starting to flower so looking forward to them in a few weeks, they were planted 12th May - the spuds in the first bed were planted 29th May along with the swede plants, sprouts, leeks, beetroot, rocket and lettuce.
I've had a nasty bite/sting from a horsefly whilst watering on Friday evening, my hand swelled up quite a bit and is only back to normal today though it is still painfull to touch.
Going to order some spuds for late planting, Dobies autumn catalogue has a new variety called 'vales emerald' that I might give a go and also Carlingford.
Well, my simple question about swedes has turned into an essay, so I will shut up and await your advice.
