Does anyone grow sugar ann snap peas? I've read a bushy variety doesn't need support, is that right?

I've got an area 1m x 1m how many plants would fit? Thanks!x

I to am trying them this year,it says 30in tall,so a little support would be nice,i grow mine up chicken wire, other things will do the same job,sow the seed 2in deep, and 2in apart throughout a 4in wide drill, precision is not important ,with 2 ft between rows,or what i often do with peas,is,start them of in seed trays, then simply pull them gently apart,as in a strip the drill width, like a seed tray long ways you get 3 strips, the length off,

For my early sowing I chit my peas first, the plant in 2 1/2" pots. When ready these are transferred to the containers using the pots to space the plants, this gives me about 2" between plants. As I grow in containers space is limited so I cramp the rows with just 6" to 8" between rows otherwise its just not worth the effort for the yield.

These are my Kelveton Wonder from last year about 90 plants in the two containers.
