  • Strawberry leaves - brown and discoloured

Hi some of my strawberry leaves are turning brown at the edges and one plants leaf has gone a light green. Im thinking could this be to do with the soil being wet most of the time at the moment of because of the cold?

They were taken from runners last autumn.

They usually do look a bit disheveled at this time of the year. Things will soon improve when Spring gets here and it dries up a bit.

I have pot 2 pots in a mini greenhouse (blowaway) Do you think covering them in fleece will help over the cold spell

      forgot to post pictures initially

I'm sure they'll be fine Marie, particularly if they're in a blowaway. My strawberry beds (outside) also looks a bit tatty at the moment, but as RL says, they'll thrive as Spring arrives

Mine are all outside and look more brown than green. From last years experience (and advice on here), I just know that they will all ok. I keep them close to a south facing wall, that helps

Strawberries can take quite a bit of neglect they don't mind the cold. Leave em to it.
