    Help
This is the first time I have attempted to grow strawberries, and there are a number of questions that I hope someone can answer.
I am about to plant some small plants I bought from a garden centre.
1 Do they need protection as soon as they are planted?.
2 I plan to build a cage around them, how high does it need to be?.
3 What spacing should I leave between plants and rows?.
4 Should I put anything around the plants?.

Thank you so much for any help you can give

Young plants would need protection against heavy frost.
Just enough to keep the birds of and for ease of access, I plan on using netting draped over bamboo canes that have tennis balls on the end (me cheap)
I planted mine a foot between plants and the same between rows.
I planted mine through weed control and plan on putting straw down when fruits start to form.
I will also feed every couple of weeks once fruit has set with a tomato based feed (mine are in a raised bed)

Thanks 4 that, I was planning on building a wooden frame over the raised bed, with netting, and a top frame which could lift off, would 2 feet high be enough clearance?
      Kind Regards

I may try strawberries too, have been watching the advice here. We have raised beds with a wooden netted 'lid' this lid can be raised on bricks as crops grow.

I have raked the soil and planted the seeds
