  • spring onion seedlings

I planted out spring onion seedlings into pots into the garden.
yesterday I noticed something had apparently dug them up. I managed to salvage a few. Do squirrels like spring onions? How can i protect them. Nothing else seems to have been dug up, lettuce, beetroot, peas and beans all ok. so far!

A piece of netting or chicken wire supported by some sticks will do the job.

It's probably just something having a dig around rather than it being after the spring onions themselves.

Foxes dug up some of my garlic this week - lord knows what that was all about!!
