I planted out spring onion seedlings into pots into the garden.
yesterday I noticed something had apparently dug them up.
I managed to salvage a few. Do squirrels like spring onions? How can i protect them. 
Nothing else seems to have been dug up, lettuce, beetroot, peas and beans all ok. so far!
