Hi all, please take a look at this pic:
In the intro section I had laid out some of my ideas, now it was suggested not to plant brocolli and caulis which I think I'll plant elsewhere. I still have a section there for brassica which is easy removed, probably to grow more onions/shallots.
I have white+red onion sets and shallot sets and about a million white lisbon seeds
and autumn king carrots.
Questions:
With the onions, it's not too late for these is it? Is worth planting all the sets or shall I do a succession sowing? Same really for carrots, is too late to succession sow?
Advice:
I've marked some areas where I thought I might grow a soft fruit hedge (wind break and fruit) and maybe some rose bushes (simply for looks). Is the job worth doing? I'll have to move the comfrey i've got (if I can!!)
I'm putting down well rotted horse muck and MP compost later today. I've read about the manure forking carrots so I won't but as much under them, maybe an inch on top of the soil topped with MP compost.
