  • Rabbit Manure

    Hi

Is it ok to use rabbit manure directly raked into the soil on a raised bed that will contain
    carrots
    spring onions
    beatroot

And if it is ok is it best to do it now

    Thanks

....depending upon how much of the manure you have it may cause your carrots to 'fork' their roots. Apart from that go for it.....as long as its just manure or manure / straw mix. If its manure / wood shavings this may rob your soil of nitrogen if applied sufficient quantities. This would be better off being composted first.

      Compost the manure.

I wouldn't use it fresh - stick it on the compost heap to rot down.
