    Probably another silly question, but does it hurt to cut the greenery back on potatoes,

    The leafy tops feed the tubers undergound, cut the tops and the spuds underneath get less food

          Done it on my second earlies.........only cos the leaves were dying off and blight keeps getting forecast.

            Done mine last weekend due to blight. Will lift them in another week after their skins have hardened and hope they haven't been infected.

              Unless you have blight then I'd never cut it back, as said above, the leaves feed the spuds.

              Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

              Which one are you and is it how you want to be?
