Haven't grown them myself but there's Waverex Pea Seed 'Waverex' (Petit Pois)

I have grown Waverex a true petit pois, lovely and sweet and a good cropper. Didn't suit containers though.

          Petit pois

Thanks everyone who took the trouble to reply. I was obviously using the wrong one, but now set to try the correct ones. Best place to get them, and are they spring sowers like the regular ones? Am currently growing some ordinary ones I got from a friend. The harvest has produced has produced less than one pod per plant. In spice of relentless watering, they were as tough as old boots. Although said friend gave me them with the best intentions, the saying "never trust greeks bearing gifts" springs to mind!

All peas need to be picked just as soon as they are big enough. If you leave them on the plants too long they are mealy.

              Petit pois

Thanx Rusty. I really know that so I don't know why I ignored my own rules.(Pick 'em young & sweet). I was so despondent at only having about 4 pods , that I more than likely waited in the off chance that a lot more would grow. But - I shall get my own back. I'll pull 'm all out to-day. Probably sow a few pixie cabbages out of defiance!
