Peas but which one???!!??

HI all,
I am after a little bit of advice please.
My daughter wants me to grow some peas - she promises to eat them if we grow our own. I have just very kindly got a seed parcel with some pea seeds in, but not sure which one would be ok for a novice, they are:
Early Onward
Robinson
Stephens
Lancashire Lad

I would only want to grow 2-3 plants, as I know they climb and would have to share with runners.

You'd probably be better with early onward. they obly grow to about 2 ft so you won't need to support them much. However, I'd grow more than 3 plants. A little row of maybe 20 would be good. The others you mention are heritage types and won't give you the sweet eating-pea experience your child will go for.
