  • Onions and garlic

Hi, I've just picked my first crop of onions and garlic ever. Bumper crop too! I have them lying on concrete to dry. Just wondering if any temp is too hot. It's almost summer here and it will be getting into the high 30's next week. Will this be too high in full sun? I can move them into the shed. Thanks!

Having similar summer temperatures to you here in Newcastle, I think they should dry just fine!

Rub it in why don't you, we're freezing over here. I would have thought that high 30's would maybe bake them. I'd put them in the shade maybe. I'm just guessing though as such temperatures over here are little more than a dream....

Sorry, wasn't aiming for jealousy. . I ended up putting them in the shed, I thought it might just be too high. The shed sure does stink though!
