Default Little bit of help identifying :D

    Hiya People,

New to the forum and to growing! Forum looks great!

hope you can help with some shoots that that have popped up in my pepper/chili pot, i expect i was a bit late getting the chilli's and peppers going just moved into the new place in may and have a tree free south facing garden yay!

I'm pretty sure the biggest plant with the black centres on the leaves is a chilli or pepper....not too sure though and the little ones are definitely peppers or chilli, just stumped on what the spindly little leaved plants with the tiny read flowers are??

    Thanks for the great forum!

    Welcome to the forum.

They both look like weeds to me, chickweed and knotweed I am afraid.

    Welcome to the forum, Slackda.
The red flowered plant is a weed - scarlet pimpernel.
I think the black centered leaf one is also a weed so I would isolate it - it looks like a knotweed to me too. The chillies are the ones with the olive shaped leaves - the glossy ones. You are looking for white or purple flowers before you get the chillies!
Whooops - now what are the dogs getting up to?

I think the little ones with the red flowers are Scarlet Pimpernel; and the ones with the black centres on the leaves aren't chillis or peppers - I'm jut trying to find their name...gimme me a minute or so....

    Welcome to the vine Slackda.
The black leafed one is Vietnamese coriander, I only know this because I've just pinched some of my neighbour to try and root some for a friend. If I were you I'd dig it up and put it in a pot on it's own...it can be very invasive.

    Coriander, Vietnamese (Persicaria odorata)
