  • How many strawberry plants can I put I a hanging basket.

from my limited experiance i have in the past put them too close together which seems to stunt the plants a bit ( this was the same with tomato plants in hanging baskets). I would put a maximum of two plants in the basket. you could put some in the sides but i would say you would need to be right on top of watering as there is not much compost/soil in a basket.

obviously listen to the others on here with vastly more experiance than me

I have six in mine but I have planted them in the sides an two up to.
And I have them in a 36cm basket.
Mine have grown really well since being in the basket and potstubsdusbins say's, you have to stay on top with the watering.

I water mine every two or three days (depending on weather) and give them a dose of liquid feed once per week.
They've been thriving as they are in a sun trap but as said, dependent on the weather, I will water every two or three days.
Expect once per day once we're in the full throw of summer.

Thanks guys. I have set up an auto irrigation system that will water twice a day for 5 mins , and can top up with feed at weekends.
