how long do I stand the seedlings in water for?

Sorry if this is a daft question, but I dont really know how long to leave them having their drink. Should the compost be damp right the way to the top of the pot if put my hand on it?

I haven't found anything to be needing much water at the moment. What have you got, and where?
Less water in winter, or you'll get mould and horribleness.
More water in warm weather, obviously ... and more water for bigger plants.

You'll get to feel when they need watering .. lift the pot/tray and if it feels light, then water them. If not, don't.
