  • Help identifying fruit

Hello, We recently took over a very overgrown plot which has fruit trees on. We were told that 2 were damson trees but the fruit looks too large to me. But as I am total novice so here for your expert advice. Also there are some brown marks on some of the fruit any idea what it is and is it safe

They look like plums to me too. I wouldn't worry about the little skin marks - if I did, I wouldn't have many plums to eat!

In picture three I'm assuming there are two different varieties. The lower fruit definitely look like plums, Victoria possibly.

Might the two small ones be greengages?

Hi, I just wanted to add as well that the marks on the skin are fine.

              I'd go with...
If the green ones are from a different tree from the other two in the piccie....
Then from the more pointy shape I'd say the green are unripe damsons and the others are plums.
              But I'm not 100% sure!

They are all from the same family which makes the subtle differences well, subtle!!
