  • First ever tatties - so excited!

Tattieman, many thanks for all your posts (and your you-tube videos)!

I'm so excited, now have my potatoes planted in potato patio containers. My very first ever attempt at growing potatoes!

I've got my earlies in, and a couple of maincrop ( might be a bit early for maincrop, I gather, but I couldn't resist, and I've put the grow bag inside the greenhouse and saved a couple more to plant in a few weeks).

    Can't wait, hope it works!

Good luck with the spuds. You will find they are any easy crop to grow and are a great buzz when you tip the bag out to see all the potatoes pour out. I have mine in the greenhouse now under fleece and bubble wrap.
Have you watched my video with Medwyn Williams? We did that in one take and I am chuffed with it.

I'm doing mine at the weekend in rubble sacks or re-useable bags.
From the sounds of it with the weather how it is at the moment would i be best leaving them in an unheated utility room, i don't have a greenhouse but i do have a coldframe.
( i live in North Yorkshire).
          Thanks

            Hi Tattieman,

Yes, I watched your video with Medwyn Williams a couple of times. I also watched your potato patio planter one a few times (but until the Medwyn Williams one I thought what you looked like was going to remain a mystery and we were only going to get to see your wellies!)

So my tatties are in their "growing medium" and hopefully fairly snug despite the weather. I'm assuming it will be worse where you are.

            Thanks again
