  • Crop rotation.

Hi everyone, I am trying to get my lottie organised for next year, it will be my second year of attempting to grow veggies. What I would like to know is where I would put main crop potatoes in my crop rotation plan. I have four areas devided into six beds. I know that brassicas follow legumes and root crops follow brassicas, but would it be ok to put legumes in the beds that had potatoes in this year next year?

    Thanks for your help !

I put spuds with my roots in a 4 bed crop rotation (legumes; brassicas; alliums; roots)

Potatoes have their own space in my rotation as I want to grow quite a lot for storage so my four year rotation goes potatoes, legumes, brassicas and roots & alliums. Only had the plot a year so far so no history of it working but it fits for space requirements for me.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?
