I've been chitting my seed potatoes on the windowsill inside- afraid no cool spare room avaiable so they were in the dining room - and some of them have gone soft. I bought a cheap plastic mini green house, should I put them outside and wait till it gets a bit warmer before planting out?

Yes Fiona i suggest tou put them in your greenhouse or a shed if you have one and before you know it they will be shoots on every potato. They have probably gone soft with the steam or in general the heat and lack of cool weather. You shouldn have very long to wait and keep them in the greenhouse if possible until you are ready to plant.
