    The pic aint that clear but to me it don't look like aphids. I am sure someone will come along and be able to tell you what they could be.

      I don't think that's aphids. Are all your parsnips like that, or just this one that's got split somehow? At a guess, I'd say baby woodlice.

        Have you pulled up all your parsnip? Maybe it’s just the one affected? Woodlice only move in once the damage has been started I think,I found a family of them inside a hollowed out strawberry once,hasn’t happened since,good luck for your other parsnips,mine didn’t grow

          Only pulled up the one so far in really hope that it’s only on the one was the first one I pulled up! There shape and mouths did look like aphids sap sucking. I did try to get a better pic but my phone wouldn’t focus on them!

            I'd go with baby/teenage woodlice.
            I think I can spot a couple of dark adults there too?????
