  • Advice and Help required again Wise Growers

Growing has been going quite well if not a bit slow in some areas. I have held of asking for any help but know feel i must ( if i haven't already left things a bit late.)
Summer Cabbage - I planted 9 of which 6 where in the garden plot and 3 where put into a trough pot thing. Out of the 6 in the garden- 2 have grown huge but didn't close up at all and have bolted. of the reaming 4 in the garden 3 seem to be growing tallish and not closing and 1 is small and appear to be closing up. The 3 in the trough are ok at the moment. they have all been treated the same .
Q- what have i done wrong if anything as i would like to grow a few more but don't really want the same thing to happen again if i can help it
Cauliflower lots of outer leaves but NO sign of cauli yet ?
Q - Am i being impatient?? these were plated same time as Cabbages or should i have done something to help them along.

Iceberg Lettuce - I have been really pleased with these they are reasonably solid at the heart BUT a little problem they are covered in white little things (fly) and green fly. not sure what to use on them or even if i can use anything???

    promise last question
Sweet Pea's -(flowers) These are climbing nicely but i have NO Flowers do i just leave them or do i have to nip them out at all. or again am i being impatient.
Thats my lot when i can figure out i will post some pictures. as the below are doing really well for my first time.
Tomatoes - Bit slow but getting there
    Potatoes - Flowered
    Herbs - Fabulous
    Onions/Leeks/spring onions- coming on Great
Peppers and Chilli - slowly but getting there
Cucumber - I can see signs
Peas - just got the odd flower but i'm watching them
Green Beans - bit dissapointed with these.
    Carrotts - Fabulous.
and now my mind has gone blank???

You should nip/pinch out the growing tip when they are about 4 inches tall (or have about 4 pairs of leaves)

this makes them bushier and produce more flowers.

When did you sow and plant them? Mine have been flowering for a fortnight or so, but then I did plant them out in March.
