    Found a new source of tomato seeds

    It's been around 9 months since I contributed on here but I have found a comprehensive site for tomatoes that I thought may interest others on here.It gives origins and details of some unusual varieties.
    Tomatobomo, located in France
    I have ordered the following to test their service.
    Peach Blow Sutton
    Olirose
    Grappoli D'inverno
    They aren't cheap but do have a very large selection.
    The parent company, Baumaux do many other types of seeds also.
    I'm hoping to move to Portugal before the end of the year and have a selection of Spanish and Italian seeds ready to sow which should be more suited to the hot, long summers but hoping that the English strains will do well there too.

    That's a huge selection. I've bought seeds from Baumaux these past two years. Not cheap, as you say, and delivery abroad is expensive if all you want is seeds. My experience so far is positive.

    Expensive as you say, but for seeds that will last more than one year, worth it as you get lots in a packet. Interesting selection of seed potatoes too, which they will send out with seeds for the same delivery price. Only thing about their seed potatoes is they tend to be smaller in France, so it takes some getting used to seeing the size of them.

            What varieties are you growing this year?

            I have grown the giallo d'inverno tomato - storage toms but I've never had much luck with them. A loverly grape Sarico shared lots of Italian Tom seeds a few years back

              Growing this year, not so many, the cordons only one of each. Everthing in pots.
              I bought eight three ring supports for the bush varieties, Silverline, 65p each and they are doing a good job supporting them
              First in Field
              Tangella
              Cavendish
              Britains Breakfast
              Stonors Exhibition
              Essex Wonder
              The Amateur
              Outdoor Girl
              Harbinger
              Red Alert
              St Pierre 19c a packet in The Algarve Aldi in March
              Ananas
              A couple of unknowns.
              Six of the cordons have Halos round them which makes watering much easier, three support canes and an extra 4/5 inches of compost above the pot rim.
              I hope I get something from then before I go as I can't take them with me

                This season my usual Alisa Craig has done better than ever. Would be better just sticking to them.

                  My first year in ages without AC, always a good crop and taste is superb so this year I decided on a change, bush toms for the first time and some different cordons. After a difficult late start with cold weather and me touring abroad all I have so far is half a dozen flowers and despite the sunshine everything seems to have slowed right down.
                  Can't win 'em all.
