    Any ideas please?
Just bought it with no label.
About 8 inches tall, sprawly habit, deep maroon tubular flowers similar to a nepeta or lamium, jagged leaves.
I really like it - bargain basement, hence no label!

Looks like something from the nettle family but can’t give it a name.

Googled it, could be Laminum orvala or balm leaved nettle. If it is it likes shade.

        I think it's a salvia.

I have laminum orvala - nettle. It doesn't look quite like that - but I could be wrong

        I'm off to look!

This is a salvia from my garden. Sorry, it's a bit muddled cos I refuse to cut my allium stalks down until the bitter end and it's in front of a purple penstemon!

            Thank you all.
I’ll investigate all your suggestions when the sun goes down.
Most interested really in how to propagate it. Want lots!!!

I'd do a VC chop some off and stick in water!

Already have - some bits in water, and some in a pot of multi purpose compost.
                It needed “pruning” anyway!!

Flower colour is the same as my salvia Love and Wishes, but I've just checked and the growth habit is different. I love the salvia (cuttings taken) but likely not to be very hardy. If your plant is hardy, then fabulous!

I think you’ve nailed it Babru.
The reason mine is so dangly and sprawly is because it was just a thrown aside neglected tangled up mess of a plant in a nursery sale.
Having looked on the internet for further details, I’m pretty sure that mine IS Love and Wishes.
                    Thank you.

                      Pleased I could help

I got mine at Gardening Scotland a few weeks ago for £4 - a bargain I thought, but possibly a bit tender (for Edinburgh). I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw a large potted one for £24.99 in my local Dobbies garden centre yesterday. No mention about being half hardy. These places make my blood boil....

Anyway, I love mine, and I think you love yours. Best of luck!
