Goodness. You don't need to be able to do calculus to see that's not right!

Edited to add: I've just looked at the plants. Not sure I like the sound of Scardy Cat.

I'm not going to name the retailer (you can guess!) but I have to question their advertising.

First, I may be mistaken but I don't see any "shrubs" in the offer.

Mostly, my gripe is with the "original price" they put on these "jumbo plugs". 20 for £49.28 - that's nearly £2.50 a plug.
Apparently, a Jumbo plug is 5-11 cms. Being naturally suspicious, I'm guessing that the 11cms ones will be the Thunbergias - aka Black eyed Susan climbers.

They probably wouldn't be sent out on time either.

I succumbed to some of their fuchsias earlier this year, and was really surprised by how small their 'jumbo' plugs are when they arrived.
Luckily they have now grown enough in the greenhouse, but it would have been difficult to plant them direct into a basket, as they suggested in the blurb

        Never again....

I stick to buying plants that I can see before buying them. I once ordered begonia plugs from an online company, they should have been called super mini plugs because I needed a magnifying glass to see them, and they were expensive too considering the plants were invisible

I got some Pink Fizz fuchsia that were on special offer too and they arrived ok.....but of the ten three were baldy twigs!!! Bit peeved I was!!! I potted the remaining seven up and they have grown on well. In future if i cannot grow it from seed myself or just want to treat myself to summik special I'll stick to Sarah Raven as I've always found her plugs to be massive and arrive in immaculate condition!
If I'm not on the Grapevine I can usually be found here!....https://www.thecomfreypatch.co.uk/

I am pretty sure I can guess at the company . I believe I've had a "rant" about them and their customer service in the past. How do they keep getting away with it?

I've had coleus caninus 'scardey cat' before - it's a scented, very tender plant, that's meant to deter cats (despite its name being 'caninus'). In practice it doesn't.
