Something is up with one of my grape vines, the one on the fruit fence in the Jungle - it's getting these warty looking lumps all over it and there's at least two on every bud

I think that I'll cut them all off, but I might wait a bit. Maybe I'll do it it September/October.

I wonder if it will spread to the other 3 vines at the front of the New Territories.

That looks terminal! I've heard that those growths get bigger and bigger and that, in some countries, they cut them off and stamp on them in their barefeet!

Yes I’d concur, you need to wait until they are far bigger then cut them off and ideally squish to remove the juice or eat them whole to stop the problem spreading to others

Just keep the leaves for dolmas and send all the other bits down here.

I'm keeping all the funny bits here!
I don't know if it's due to last year's hot weather, but loads n loads of flowers on my greenhouse vine this year - so hopefully a good harvest

Somehow doubt that they would be usable once they've been through the Royal mail. I can squish them up and throw them somewhere for a couple of months myself and save the price of a stamp.

Is that not just royal mail being used as part of the winemaking process?

Put whole grapes in an envelope and post them somewhere, then they're crushed for you and left to ferment, to be delivered once the wine has matured?

It's terrible. Looks like its spreading. A quick look at the vines at the front of the New Territories plot and it looks like at least two of the three are now sowing the same symptoms.

I might have to get drastic with the secateurs and cut them back real hard.

                      Probably next February.

Yep, two of them have caught it. I don't know what I did wrong. I even planted them in the North East of England where this sort of thing shouldn't happen

                            Maybe a circulatory problem
