  • Do Erysimums self seed?

I didnt think they did (ive always taken cuttings), but ive just been out the garden and under and around my ‘Red Jep’ is loads of seedlings. They dont look like the weed seedlings Id usually get in the paving. I have to say this particular plant is prolific, its almost trailing with top growth too.

Ooo maybe they are then! Maybe it was the hot weather last year. Think I’ll get some compost and try and grow them on.

If the leaves are similar, then they probably are babies. Lovely surprise for you.

I've never had a perennial wallflower seed itself around, but it would be great if they did. Fantastic plants. I've had a Bowles Mauve in flower continuously since last March, so you couldn't ask for more. If it self seeds too - heaven!
Mostly flowers, some fruit and veg, at the seaside in Edinburgh.
