  • Anyone know this shrub, dark green shiny leaves white flowers with lemon stamens

Can anyone help? Tried unsuccessfully to post a picture. The shrub is evergreen, dark green oval leaves with point, it is just finishing flowering now with small flowers with lemon stamens. We moved in and the shrub was 7ft tall with thick 3" wide trunk but we had to cut it down to put a fence up. We would like to plant a new one as it looks a bit sick now.
Does anyone have any ideas please, thanks Alison

Ahha, I checked the viburnum tinus and the flowers are in clusters and my shrub has more blossom like flowers, but I think it is the Sarcococca Confusa christmas box as per the link above, thank you, I shall now endeavour to find one locally, take my cutting with me and buy a new plant. Having spent hours unsuccessfully going through books I should have asked here first, thank you Nicos.

If there's some new growth on the plant, you could try propagating it from cuttings.

            Glad to have helped!
Sounds lovely...quite fancy one myself now, espesh as I've decided I need more pollen bearing plants during winter/early Spring.
Yeh...try and propagate as VC suggested...you could end up with a few!

We're both spring chickens and I take cuttings all the time.
