    Can I just say....

    what a lovely, lovely lot you are?

    I may have joined other groups and discussion areas to learn more about no dig in particular and find that there really is so much snobbery and know-it-all attitude elsewhere.

    I thank you from the bottom of my heart for all of your advice that you have given me and each other that everyone can learn from without any of that "I know best, so you best listen" attitude. The mutal respect in this place and community in this place is second to none.

    You're so right, Sarriss.

    99% of the members here are very helpful and, because we all garden in different ways, there are very few people who are able to say "I know best". Obviously, there are some whose knowledge and experience shine through and earn respect and there is the 1% who believe they know best (but we all beg to differ).

    Even on matters outside the gardening field, members are very supportive - we're just one big happy family really and long may it remain so.

            I think this forum absolutely has proved time and time again that there is no right way and no wrong way when it comes to gardening matters. We all do best when we do what works for us but we are always interested in how others do what they do and are prepared to adapt to improve our own growing.

            It's nice when someone praises the Forum but in this instance, the praiser is also a contributer who is helping others with advice.

                Long may you enjoy it Sarriss, and though it pains me to say it, VC had described what the Vine is and why it is good to come on to it.


                I will need to go and lie down now after saying that, or possibly have a whisky so that I can have a sleep without wakening up wondering what I have done
                it may be a struggle to reach the top, but once your over the hill your problems start.

                        The vine is the family you choose rather than the ones you're related to (enough said!).
                        Added bonus one or two know a bit about gardening (not including myself)

                            The additional groups were never instead of this place, you realise... It soon struck me how lucky we are to have this place, gloating in the knowledge that the know-it-alls wouldn't enjoy it here lol
