    Lots of flirting going on!



    Yep....a couple of pairs of wood pigeons bobbing their heads, pheasants suddenly appearing in pairs. A couple of male robins fighting over a female....

    it's all action here!

    must start putting out hair brush hair and the moss I dried for them last year...they'll be building nests soon, if not already!

    Anyone else surrounded by flirtatious birds?

    Saw a boy pigeon trying his luck when we were on holiday a couple of weeks ago. She flew off and he tried to walk away pretending he hadn’t really been interested....

        It is happening here too, all the jays are bickering for territory, sounds like ww3 in jayish at the moment!

          We've got lots of sparrows looking for nesting sites. There's one pair thinking of nesting above the wooden lintel of our bedroom window. If they settle there, we'll have to put some obstacles in place to stop the cats sitting on the window sill inside and frightening the life out of the chicks. Just in case anyone's worried, the cats wouldn't be able to get at the birds as we have mozzie screen over the window, so they can't get out.
